Ditch Your Blow-Dryer This Summer
Give your hair a summer holiday from hot tools with our simple no-fail three-step styles made for your hair type!
Tame curly hair
Your hair type: As the mercury rises so does your curl factor but your hair is also prone to frizz-frenzies. Your ideal style is smooth curls with natural volume. Too easy!
Step one After showering remove excess moisture by towel drying hair and apply a curl contouring cream that smooths ends and adds all-over shine.
Step two Twist medium sections of hair from below your crown and secure with bobby-pins. Remember leave hair loose.
Step three Undo twists once hair is dried, then tip your head upside down and shake out your curls. Spritz in a lightweight hair spray designed for curly hair that adds definition (preventing frizz) to curls and keep style in place.
Embrace your waves
Your hair type: You often lack volume at the roots yet have wavy hair from your mid-lengths down making you blow-out dependent. Good news is your hair styles super easily into summer’s hottest look – beach-chic waves.
Step one Add volume by applying a volume cream or spray into your roots. Make sure your hair is semi-wet so style sets in.
Step two Now you want some texture, so spritz in a sea salt spray and loosely tie-up hair from the mid-lengths down into a bun.
Step three When hair is fully dried, take out bun and flip your head upside down and mist hair with sea salt spray and scrunch waves. If you feel you still need extra volume dust in some styling powder into roots.
Add movement to straight locks
Your hair type: Women always ask how do you get your hair so straight. But secretly you battle flatness and would love to get textured waves (Kate Moss style) that don’t fall out straight away.
Step 1 Evenly distribute an ultra-light mousse through your hair by combing through with a vent brush or wide tooth comb.
Step 2 Next loosely plait medium sections from mid-lengths down and leave-in until hair dries.
Step 3 Now take out plaits and scrunch in a texturizing spray from mid-lengths down – this will ensure your style stays put. If you want more volume at the roots, sprinkle in a styling powder.
